A SOBER REFLECTION?
What does Easter mean?
It's a period of sober reflection and one question keeps lingering on my mind - please, what's the Easter egg and bunny all about?
From what I've read, it has no business with Africa and nothing to do with our origin. Neither could I find the origin from the Bible.
I know all over the internet what you mostly find are images of eggs and rabbits. I've also received some Easter greeting postcards and GIFs during this period of sober reflection and they are all bunnies and eggs designed. I'm wondering, what does this have to do with the true essence of Easter? Should we copy something we do not even know about?
I was trying to work on an Easter poster design few days ago, I had to just stop and go to bed. Almost all my searches on easter images brought out eggs and bunnies and I'm wondering🙄🙄
I had to narrow my search when I woke up to "Easter cross images" before I got something I could use.
If you are a Christian reading this, please don't post eggs and rabbits we are gradually drifting away from the true essence of Easter.
Please teach your children what Easter truly means to a Christian. They need to know the truth. It's not just about eggs hunts, chocolates, and rabbits. To every Christian and every true believer, Easter is the celebration of the death and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
So, I ask you today, dear educators, parents, and whoever gets to read this, what truly is Easter? What does Easter mean to you?

To those who are downcast, beaten, shamed, rejected, abused, victimized, cheated, judged, or abandoned, it's time to rejoice and celebrate our redemption. It's a new beginning for you. Behold, all things have become new. Jesus is alive! He is risen and so have you!
